Cabin One is the first cabin going up on the Ozark Gothic land in downtown Rogers — 2.25 wooded acres at 105 N Betsy Ln that our family owns, the same parcel as The Vortex camper. This page is a build log, not a listing: the cabin isn’t finished, isn’t open to anyone, and we’re not taking bookings or names for it.
A Den Outdoors “Outpost” cabin on 2.25 wooded acres, a 15-minute walk from Lake Atalanta.
105 N Betsy Ln is 2.25 wooded acres on the east edge of downtown Rogers — the same parcel as The Vortex camper. The Ozark Gothic brand spans 5 acres across two parcels here; Cabin One is the first cabin going up on this side.
Walking distance to Lake Atalanta — a 30-acre lake in a 236-acre park, with 10 miles of singletrack ringing it, fishing piers, a beach. Connector trails reach the Railyard Bike Park downtown and the Razorback Greenway. Onyx Coffee at The 1907 and Honeycomb Kitchen Shop are five minutes by car. Beaver Lake is fifteen.
The design is the Den Outdoors “Outpost” — an efficient, modern, woodland-friendly plan from the Den Outdoors catalog. We’re siting it on the high side of the parcel, with the camper pad and outdoor kitchen continuing to live on the lower clearing.
We have a building permit for the cabin. We do not have approval to rent it out to anyone, and we haven’t asked for it — so there’s no booking page coming, no waitlist, and no date to give you. If that ever changes it will be because the city says yes first, and we’ll say so here plainly.
Built from the Den Outdoors Outpost plan.
Den Outdoors makes a small catalog of pre-engineered cabin and A-frame plans — efficient footprints, big windows, and a modern-rustic vocabulary that sits naturally in the Ozarks. Cabin One is built from their “Outpost” plan, which Den lists at 325 sq ft with a loft, a full bath, a mini kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows.
The images below are Den Outdoors’ own catalog renderings of the stock Outpost plan — not photographs, and not our cabin. Ours isn’t finished, so no photograph of it exists yet. Expect the real thing to differ: siting, trees, finishes and the light are all particular to this parcel.
Catalog renderings and floor plan of the stock Outpost, © Den Outdoors, shown here to illustrate the plan we bought — these are not images of Cabin One. See the Outpost product page for the real source. Refract Ventures isn’t affiliated with Den Outdoors.
What we’re building, as best we know today.
Intentions, not a feature list — a build changes as it goes, and some of this will.
105 N Betsy Ln — walk to the lake, drive to Beaver.
Downtown Rogers is the small, historic downtown that anchors the east side of NWA. Lake Atalanta is the city's open-water trail loop. Beaver Lake is fifteen minutes east.
105 N Betsy Ln, Rogers, AR.
The Vortex — where we sleep meanwhile.
While Cabin One goes up, The Vortex sits on the same parcel — the trailer we stay in through the build. Ours, not a rental.
